NEAR SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (CBS4)- A young bird of prey is exploring his new home in Colorado’s High Country after he was released back into the wild on Wednesday.
Wildlife officers released the young osprey in the wilderness north of Silverthorne.
The bird had fallen from his nest as a young one.
He was rescued and rehabilitated at a facility in Broomfield.
Although the osprey was a little reluctant to leave his caretakers, he finally took flight and explored his new home.
