COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Colorado Springs police are still trying to identify a body found in a burning car following a crash on the Pikes Peak highway.
Police said Monday it could take a long time to learn the name of the victim because of severe burns and they are asking for help from the public for information about any persons missing in the area.
Police say they got a report of the accident on Sunday and found the vehicle up an embankment near the summit fully engulfed in flames. Police say after the fire was put out, they found one person dead inside.
