CANON CITY, Colo. (CBS4) – After more than half a century the Royal Gorge Scenic Railway makes its final run at the end of the month.

The owners sold the railway, along with a frontier town in 2010. They’ve been leasing the train for the past two years, but say a decrease in state tourism dollars took a toll on the business.

The train will make its final run Sept. 30.
