DENVER (AP) – Colorado officials are holding a remembrance ceremony and concert in to honor lives lost in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and pay tribute to Colorado emergency crews who responded to wildfires and the Aurora movie theater shooting.
The event in Denver on Tuesday will include Gov. John Hickenlooper and emergency response officials.
The shooting on July 20 left 12 dead and 58 injured. The Waldo Canyon Fire and High Park Fire destroyed more than 600 homes and left three people dead.
The 9/11 observance will mark the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a plane that crashed near Shanksville, Pa.
