ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) – Hundreds of runners and walkers crossed the finish line Saturday in the fifth annual 9/11 Remembrance Run and Walk.
The runners stood at attention for the national anthem before getting started. They tackled a competitive 5K, 10K or half marathon in Olde Town Arvada. Members of the Navy took part.
CBS4 is a proud sponsor of the race, which benefits Homefront Heroes. That organization supports deployed troops and returned troops, veterans and local military families at home.
