Lakewood Considers Urban Agriculture Policy Change
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Lakewood is asking residents to weigh in on whether the city should change its policies on urban agriculture.
The city is asking residents to take a survey to gauge opinions on regulations for chickens, ducks, dwarf goats and bees.
Lakewood already allows homeowners to raise animals in some neighborhoods with large lots. However, many residents are now asking that homes with smaller lots be included as well.
The animals would be allowed for eggs, milk and honey production.
A decision could come in December.
