DENVER (Denver Business Journal) – A Denver City Council committee on Sept. 11 will consider the historic status of the old Gates Rubber plant at Broadway and Interstate 25, which Gates Corp. wants to tear down to remove environmental contamination and speed future development.
A college student’s request that the crumbling plant be designated a city historic site is standing in the way of Gates’ plans.
