DENVER (CBS4)- The Little Clinic and King Soopers have teamed up with CU Health Partners.
Patients can schedule appointments with doctors from the University of Colorado.
The Little Clinic said the new partnership will make health care accessible to people who can’t otherwise afford it.
The Little Clinic is open for patients with or without primary care physicians at participating King Soopers locations.
Those clinics are open on evenings and weekends when most doctors are unavailable. They are designed to keep families without urgent health matters out of the emergency rooms and avoid costly hospital visits.
“This is a new model of being able to offer health care that is convenient in an affordable way,” said University of Colorado spokeswoman Lilly Marks.
On Saturday the Stapleton King Soopers will host a consumer health event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Take park in free screenings and giveaways.
