One of those signs that Fall is on the way, Hwy 5 is closed for the season from Summit Lake to the peak of Mount Evans.

The summit of Mount Evans is at more that 14,000 feet.

The portion of Hwy 5 from Echo Lake to Summit Lake is going to stay open through October–weather permitting.
