BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – One bright side for the CU Buffaloes after losing to CSU is there’s no way they can overlook Sacramento State this weekend.
The young Buffs can’t afford to overlook anybody. They thought they had full control of that game last Saturday.
They had the ball with a 14-3 lead, and then they gave up a touchdown right before halftime. Everyone knows what happened from there.
It was a loss that CU fans did not take well — and nor should they.
“As far as our fans, hey, I know what it’s like, and trust me it’s personal with me about this job, about getting it right,” head coach Jon Embree said. “There’s a lot of football left to be played.”
Embree said he still thinks the Buffs can make it to a bowl game.
“I still do, and our players still do,” he said.
The Buffs take on Sacramento State this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Folsom Field.
