COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – It started with an unexpected splash and ended with a deer being rescued from a pool over the weekend in Colorado Springs.
A homeowner there said a deer wandered onto the pool cover and fell in. When he saw what happened he called 911
“My dogs were barking like crazy and I couldn’t get them to knock it off,” the man said. “I got up on the top of my deck and I looked down and there was an eight-point buck in the middle of my swimming pool.”
When police officers couldn’t get the animal out firefighters were called in. They ended up building a ramp and were eventually able to coax the deer out.
The whole ordeal took about four hours. As soon as it was out of the water the deer ran off.
