Man Accused Of Stomping On Puppy In Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – A four-month old puppy is recovering at the Boulder Humane Society after witnesses say it was kicked, stomped on, and dragged by its owner.

The incident happened late Wednesday night near the intersection of Canyon and Broadway.

Boulder police are not allowing any images of the dog to be released.

The police report includes witness statements from four different people who say they heard the dog yelp or cry and saw the man abusing it.

The suspect has been identified as Edward McMorris, 26. He remains in jail on charges of animal cruelty.
