‘Meatball’ The Bear Gets Set For Journey To Colorado

KEENESBURG, Colo. (CBS4) – A California bear named Meatball because of his fondness for the food will be coming soon to a new home in Colorado.

Meatball had been getting into some trouble in a Glendale, Calif., neighborhood so California Fish and Game officials decided to authorize his move to The Wild Animal Sanctuary near Keenesburg. He was captured on Wednesday.

The bear had been spotted climbing into backyards and helping himself to trash. He was even breaking into homes to snack on his favorite food — meatballs.

Meatball got popular among locals and even had a Twitter page devoted to him.
