Hospital Chaplain Charged With Forcing At-Risk Adult To Have Sex
LOUISVILLE, Colo. (CBS4) - A chaplain is accused of having unlawful sexual contact with at an-risk adult in Boulder County.
Katsutoshi Shimada, 56, of Littleton, works as a chaplain with Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette.
Police say Shimada in May forced sexual contact with a woman in her Louisville apartment.
Investigators say he met the woman while on duty at the hospital.
Shimada could face as much as 12 years in prison.
"He's been my neighbor for years and he's a wonderful person. I would not suspect that he would do anything unlawful," said Littleton neighbor Lavonne Carter.
An official with Exempla said their organization is concerned about the allegations.
