AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – There were some tense moments in Aurora Wednesday morning as a police officer who was on his motorcycle got sandwiched between two vehicles and wound up stuck underneath one of them.
The accident happened at about 6:15 a.m. on Interstate 225 near the Colfax Avenue offramp. The officer was off-duty at the time and reportedly heading to work.
Rescue crews arrived quickly and spent several minutes carefully getting the officer out from under the vehicle.
Doctors treated the officer for minor injuries and he was released.
The woman driving the car that struck the officer from the rear was ticketed.
