COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A man from Colorado Springs is recovering after he was attacked by a bear while camping in southeastern Colorado.
The 50-year-old was camping near Lake San Cristobal on Wednesday. He was awakened by something pushing on his tent early in the morning. The man pushed back and the bear reacted.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials believe the bear probably associated camping with food.
The man is expected to recover.
