DENVER (AP) — Frontier Airlines says it won’t launch nonstop service between Durango, Colo., and Las Vegas this fall after all.
The Denver-based carrier had said in late June that it would offer twice-weekly, nonstop flights between the two cities starting Oct. 4. Frontier said Friday it is canceling the service. Executive Daniel Shurz says community interest in the flight was “far less” than anticipated.
Frontier says it will reach out to customers in the next week to refund purchased tickets.
The airline still offers flights from Durango and from Las Vegas to other cities.
