Woman Pleads Guilty To Shooting Up Apartment, Injuring Man
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — A Greeley woman who fired into the home of man who she thought had sexually assaulted her son has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder.
Tarrara Shureen Garcia entered her plea Friday.
Prosecutors say Garcia fired 27 shots into the man's building in Kersey on Dec. 29. Another man who was not her intended target was shot twice. Prosecutors say the shots penetrated four apartments.
Garcia's friend Khanh Tran is charged with being an accessory to the crime.
Garcia could be sentenced 25 to 42 years in prison at a hearing set for Sept. 13.
The man Garcia suspected of sexually assaulting her son denied the allegations.
