Mullen High School’s Sports Placed On Probation
DENVER (AP) – High school football powerhouse Mullen High School has been placed on probation for one year following an investigation by the state athletic body.
The Denver Post reports that former head football coach Dave Logan was not the target of the investigation by the Colorado High School Activities Association.
Logan had a 110-12 record and four state championships during nine years at Mullen before the school fired him in January. He is now the head coach at Cherry Creek High School.
CHSSA commissioner Paul Angelico in a statement issued Friday says the school has taken “appropriate action to prevent a reoccurrence.” Details of the alleged violation were not released by CHSSA.
The school will be allowed to play in the postseason.
