DENVER (CBS4)- Wildfires burning across the Western U.S. are making for another hazy evening across Colorado and the Denver metro area.

Copter4 flew over the soupy skies Wednesday afternoon. The Colorado Department of Health and Environment said those with breathing issues should avoid outdoor activities because of the smoke.

Health officials also warn those who normally don’t suffer breathing issues may be subject to irritation from the smoke.

The haze also blanketed the peaks near Breckenridge and the Continental Divide.
