Search Continues For Hit & Run Driver As Victim Fights For Life
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Lakewood are still searching for the driver behind a hit-and-run accident as the victim continues to fight for his life.
Jesse Pringle is an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran. He was riding his motorcycle Thursday night at Alameda and Benton when he was hit by a car. His family says he's in grave condition.
"What Jesse has done, risking his life for his country … came back okay, and then this happens," Pringle's father Steve Ingebrigsten said.
"The least he could have done is just stop. At least if you stop, it would have mattered somewhat. But just leaving is terrible," Pringle's brother Alexander Pringle said.
Pringle's girlfriend was riding with him at the time of the crash. She is expected to survive.
