DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Aurora have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that left two people hurt.
The shooting happened a little after 4 p.m. Tuesday on East Colfax Avenue near Kingston Street. Two men were transported to the hospital and are expected to recover.
Michael Johnson was taken into custody on Wednesday night. Johnson, 23, is facing attempted first degree murder charges and is being held on $50,000 bond.
His picture is not being released because the investigation is ongoing.
Police said multiple shots were fired during the drive-by shooting. Officers said when they arrived the found the two men who had been shot.
One man was shot in the leg but was able to run away from the shooters. He ran into an auto body shop and was able to escape more gunfire.
Both victims are expected to survive and are recovering. The vehicle believed to be used in the shooting has been recovered.
