Denver Water is working on cleaning and lining aging water mains along Sixth Avenue between Marion Street and Columbine Street in Denver.
Work has started on Phase One of the project which is the north side of Sixth between Columbine and Race. Phase two will continue the work west down Sixth Avenue between Race and Marion.
Denver Water says during the work, one lane of Sixth Avenue will be open and there will be no parking on either side of street.
Also access to and from side streets on the north side of Sixth Avenue will be limited during the project.
The work will take place Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Denver Water also giving the heads up that during excavation, water service may be temporarily interrupted. If that will be the case you should be given advanced notice.
