DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver are investigating the death of a woman in West Denver.

Officers responded to 1497 Knox Court on the report of a shooting at about 4:20 p.m. Friday.

When officers arrived on scene they discovered a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

She has been identified as Natasha Carrillo, 20.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
