GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A Garden City man has been sentenced for killing a 60-year-old man with a rock during a dispute.

Dominick Ramirez has been sentenced to nine years in the Department of Corrections for killing Larry Pino on August 13, 2011.

Ramirez, 47, was convicted of manslaughter on June 7 in Pino’s death.

According to police and court records, Ramirez threw a 14-pound rock off the balcony of his apartment in Garden City after a fight with Pino on August 13, 2011.

The rock struck Pino in the head and he later died from his injuries.
