I-70 Lane Reopened Near Dotsero After Diesel Spill

DOTSERO, Colo. (AP) — Interstate 70 is back open near Dotsero following a truck accident that spilled diesel fuel and scrap aluminum on the road.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said the accident happened at about 2 a.m. Friday.

About 60 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from the tank of the semi-tractor trailer. The truck was carrying 42,000 pounds of scrap aluminum and that was also left on the road.

Crews are working to clean up fuel and untangle the aluminum from the semi so the accident can be cleared.
