MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) – A Colorado State Patrol trooper is recovering from injuries following a motorcycle accident while he was on patrol.

Investigators say trooper Todd Martin was trying to pass a truck on Tuesday when the driver turned in front of him. Martin was thrown from his bike and skidded about 60 feet.

Martin was treated at a hospital and released.

The truck’s driver, Clell Lambertson of Montrose, is facing charges of careless driving causing injury.
