State Republicans Hit The Phone Banks To Try To Gain Support

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4) - The election is still three months away but state Republicans say every minute until the polls close counts.

On Saturday volunteers and elected leaders hit the phone banks in Castle Rock and across the state.

Colorado House Speaker Frank McNulty says the Republicans are getting voters excited about this election.

"We're calling folks as we get closer to the election, going door to door, visiting with them, and simply talking with them about how critical this election is, Mitt Romney's message, and how important that is for Colorado," McNulty said.

Republicans said they're talking to voters of all affiliations. They say the most important thing is getting everyone to the polls in November.
