Cirque Du Soleil's 'Quidam' Carries Audience Off To Another World

DENVER (CBS4) - Cirque du Soleil's Quidam is a show for the eye, the ear, and the imagination.

CBS4's Critic at Large Greg Moody previewed the show that's coming back this fall to the metro area.

"As with all Cirque shows, it is music, and acrobatics, and imagination, along with a visual artistry that carries you off to yet another world of wonder," Moody said.

Quidam, as with all shows from Cirque du Soleil, does indeed have a plotline holding all the various and sundry performances together. This time it's a young girl who journeys into a world of imagination. That world of imagination takes all forms -- leaping, jumping, flying, rolling -- if a human being can do it, it's there.

"What I love about Cirque is that no matter how many shows I see, no matter how many times I see a particular show, I'm always captured, amazed, by what I see, what I hear, and how completely the show transports me away to that peculiar world that is Cirque," Moody said.

Quidam from Cirque du Soleil opens Nov. 7 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield and runs through Sunday, Nov. 11. Then it moves up to the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland opening Nov. 14 and running through Nov. 18. Tickets start at $35 and go on sale Aug. 3 through TicketHorse.com.

"If you've been to a Cirque show you know the thrill and visual wonder of it all," Moody said. "If you've never been, it is something you have just got to see."
