Loveland Police Officer Accused In Child Porn Case Appears In Court

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A police officer from Loveland accused of possessing child pornography appeared in court Monday morning.

Rodney Bretches, who worked for the Loveland Police Department for 19 years, was arrested in May. He is accused of having child porn on his computer as well as videotaping a woman while she showered.

On Monday Bretches and his attorney appeared in front of a judge for a status hearing on the case. His attorney said that no plea deal has been made.

Bretches will be back in court on Sept. 6 for a possible disposition. He remains out of jail on bond. At last check he was also on paid administrative leave from the Loveland Police Department.
