Colorado Democratic Party HQ Vandalized

DENVER (AP/CBS4) - Colorado Democratic Party officials say eleven windows were smashed over the weekend at state party headquarters in Denver.

Police said it looks like the windows were smashed with a hammer and there's no evidence firearms were used.

Colorado Democratic Party executive director Alec Garnett says it's impossible to determine the motive for now.

"It's obviously a distraction and it's an expensive one," Matt Inzeo with the Colorado Democratic Party said. "At the same time we're here just a little over 100 days out of the election and the job of our party is to go ahead and help our candidates do everything they can to be successful."

Garnett said Monday the party is working with Denver police to find the person or persons responsible.
