DENVER (CBS4)- Passengers aboard a flight traveling from Denver to Chicago were forced to evacuate the plane.
The flight took off from Denver International Airport just before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
It was bound for Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport but was diverted to Peoria, Illinois because of bad weather.
As the plane got closer to that airport a flight attendant started to smell smoke in the cabin.
The captain declared an emergency and as soon as the plane landed everyone on board used the emergency exits to get on the ground.
