GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A gang member from Greeley was sentenced Wednesday for his role in an attack on a rival gang member.
David Anthony Salamanca was sentenced to spend 13 years in the Department of Corrections for last year’s attack.
Salamanca, 22, pleaded guilty on June 20 to one count of first-degree burglary- assault/menace.
According to police and court records, Salamanca, a tracked gang member in Greeley, was arrested in May 2011 after he and several other men broke into the house of a rival gang member. The group then attacked him using 40-ounce beer bottles and a knife.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries in the attack.
