BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The search for a missing hiker in Boulder County has been suspended.

Patricia Wallace was with a group of friends July 4 around Buchanan Pass Trail when she decided to take a different route that she believed was less strenuous.

Her friends reported her missing after Wallace, 74, failed to meet up with them that afternoon.

Wallace may be suffering from the early stages of dementia.

Rescue crews may resume their search later this week.
