GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Greeley shot and killed a man who was holding a woman hostage.
It happened Friday afternoon at a basement apartment at 17th Avenue on 30th Street. Police said the suspect had been holding the woman as a hostage for several hours.
The standoff began when officers tried to arrest the suspect on an outstanding warrant for engaging in a riot.
After trying to negotiate for several hours police stormed the apartment, rescued the woman and shot the suspect.
