Longmont Officer Nearly Hit By Lightning Strike
LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - A Longmont police officer is expected to fully recover after he was nearly hit by a lightning strike.
The officer was patrolling at Ken Pratt Boulevard and Martin Street Tuesday afternoon. After the lightning hit he ran for cover under a nearby bridge and called for help.
The officer was taken to the hospital but police say he will recover.
The officer's name has not been released.
