LEADVILLE, Colo. (CBS4) – The Treasure Fire burning near Leadville in Birdseye Gulch reached 300 acres on Sunday and is only 5 percent contained.
Lake County Emergency Management said green meadows and timberline are stopping the fire’s spread north and east. Incident Commander Chris Naccarato expected good progress toward containing the fire Sunday.
There are 62 personnel working the fire and no structures were threatened as of Sunday afternoon.
