Suspects Sought After Attack On Boulder Couple

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are searching for two men wanted in an attack of a couple walking home from dinner.

It happened last Friday night near Broadway and Spruce Street when two men jumped Kris and Katherine Chavez.

"The only thing I could think to do was call 911," said attack victim Kris Chavez.

He and his wife were walking home when four men in a blue Jeep began yelling at them.

"Then they started saying some extremely inappropriate things to my wife," said Kris.

"I don't think I was offended as much as much as he was, I was like, 'Just let it go. Let's keep on walking,'" said Katherine.

The couple continued their walk home. Seconds later he was struck from behind by two of the men in the Jeep.

"They did break my back tooth," said Kris.

"It happened so quickly that the first thing was, 'How can we get this to stop as soon as possible?'" said Katherine.

The couple believes the suspects could be related.

"Anytime we have an attack like this where unknown people attack other unknown people we are always concerned and that's why we want to find who these suspects are," said Boulder Police spokeswoman Kim Kobel.
