DENVER (CBS4) – The national advocacy group Our Green Cities has once again ranked the City and County of Denver in the Top 10 of the nation’s largest cities for its sustainable policies, programs and activities.
Denver was ranked fourth out of 54 of the nation’s largest cities.
“I am honored we have been nationally recognized two years in a row for our city’s sustainability efforts,” Mayor Michael Hancock said in a statement. “The ranking is well-deserved as our Greenprint Office and other city agencies work tirelessly everyday to assist city government, residents and businesses to make our great city greener and more sustainable.”
Our Green Cities is a nonprofit based in Massachusetts that is dedicated to advancing best practices, partnerships and leadership in sustainability with political leaders in cities across the nation.
