COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – A Delta Air Lines flight from Detroit to Phoenix unexpectedly landed in Colorado Springs, Colo., after a woman on board became unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead.
Delta spokeswoman Chris Kelly Singley says the captain of Flight 1921 diverted the plane to Colorado after a passenger became unresponsive Wednesday. Flight attendants and a doctor on board performed CPR on the woman, but after the plane landed around 10 a.m., officials determined that the passenger was dead.
Kelly Singley didn’t know whether the passenger died on the plane.
She didn’t have details on what led the woman to become unresponsive and said she couldn’t disclose the passenger’s name or age.
The flight continued on to Phoenix. There were 151 people on board.
