Colorado's Budget Situation Is Improving

DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado's budget situation is improving, but it's still worse than before the recession.

The governor's office says general fund revenue for the current fiscal year will be nearly $240 million higher than forecast. A portion of that goes to the state education fund, but the majority goes towards next year's budget.

Still, state revenue is nearly a billion dollars less than it was five years ago.
