COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Commuter bus service between Denver and Colorado Springs will end this August.

FREX, or Front Range Express, has connected the two cities since 2004. It’s run by the city of Colorado Springs, but because of rising costs, lost subsidies and low ridership, service will stop on Aug. 31.

Only about 200 people used the service every day.
