DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Saturday morning in South Denver.
Detective John White with Denver police said at approximately 6:11 a.m. officers responded to the 1200 block alley of South Quieto Way and South Raritan Street on the report of a body found lying in the alley.
“When officers arrived they located the body of a male victim who had apparently suffered gunshot wounds,” White said in a statement. “It appears at this early stage of the investigation that the victim’s body may have been placed in the alley sometime after the crime was committed.”
The death is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim’s identity hasn’t been released.
