Ex-Colorado Teacher Arrested After Utah Gathering

EAGLE, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado woman accused of having a sexual relationship with a student while she taught at his school has been arrested on suspicion of violating conditions of her bond.

Lauren Redfern of Basalt was arrested in February in the case involving the student. Eagle County sheriff's officials say her bond conditions prohibit her from having alcohol or leaving Colorado without permission.

Sheriff's officials say that on Sunday, National Park Service officers responding to a complaint of loud music, shooting and drinking at the Glen Canyon National Recreation area in Utah found Redfern and others at the scene, along with a shotgun, hallucinogenic mushrooms and alcohol. The agency says Redfern was cited with prohibited use of a weapon.

She was being held Friday in Eagle County, with bond set at $10,000.
