COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – A former Ellicott School Board member accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to sex assault charge.

Stefanie Dickinson pleaded guilty Wednesday. She faces 10 years to life on sex-offender intensive supervised parole at a sentencing hearing in October.

Dickinson was arrested in October on suspicion of sending lewd text messages to her son’s 14-year-old friend. That investigation led to another person who said he was 17 when he had a sexual relationship with her.

As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped the charge accusing her of sending lewd messages.
