Road Work To Watch Out For On I-25 And In Fort Collins

Written by Traffic Specialist Joel Hillan

An overnight resurfacing project on I-25 will slow you down this week.   The Colorado Department of Transportation has started rotomilling and paving a one-mile stretch of I-25 from Lincoln Avenue north to C-470--a section of road last paved in 2000.  They will also be doing some drainage work.

The $1.1 million project will close one lane northbound and/or southbound of I-25 through that section starting at 8pm with two lanes closing starting at 11pm.  The closures will go until 5:30 each morning ending Thursday morning.

Also you want to be aware that traffic is down to just one lane on the I-25 East frontage road from Mile Marker 272 to Mile Marker 273 near Fort Collins.  Construction will be today and tomorrow from 8am to 5pm.  Speeds will be reduced to 40 Miles Per Hour.  Expect less than 10 minute delays as you travel through that area.
