Officials Confirm 6 Tornadoes Touched Down During Severe Storms

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The National Weather Service office in Boulder says six tornadoes touched down in the Denver area on Wednesday night during severe weather.

Two tornadoes touched down in western Elbert county. Another touched down in Douglas county near Elizabeth, and a fourth was SW Arapahoe county southwest of Bennett. Another was a in northern Weld county near Grover.

The tornadoes also included one near Denver International Airport that several photographers captured pictures of and shared with CBS4 through our YouReport form.

No damage was reported from the tornadoes, but there was significant damage from the hail and heavy rain that fell during the storm.
