FBI Joins Investigation Into Carbondale Bank Robbery

CARBONDALE, Colo. (CBS4)- The FBI has joined the Carbondale Police Department and other mountain area law enforcement in a bank robbery investigation.

A man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 1201 Highway 133 in Carbondale at about 4 p.m. on May 5.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, 150 to 170 pounds, possibly wearing a wig and fake beard.

The FBI said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. He may also be in possession of a large black, multi-compartmental backpack.

The suspect was also carrying a black fold-away type zippered duffel bag slightly larger than a CD carrying case with a wrap around the zipper. When the bag is expanded it opens to approximately 18-24 inches in length.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect from surveillance photos.
