The Dream Chaser (credit: CBS)
BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) – CBS4 received some calls and emails from viewers who thought they saw a spaceship in Broomfield Tuesday morning. It turns out they were right.
Copter4 flew over the Dream Chaser orbital spacecraft. It’s a prototype built by the Sierra Nevada Corporation, which has an office in Louisville.
The company hopes it will be one of the crafts chosen to replace the space shuttle in delivering astronauts and supplies to the International Space Station.
