AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Fundraisers now say they have enough money to build a memorial for Colorado’s fallen soldiers.

The Colorado Freedom Memorial will be built in Springhill Park just north of Buckley Air Force Base.

The memorial will be placed on land donated by the city. It will feature a glass wall etched with the names of more than 6,000 fallen vets from Colorado.

Organizers reached their goal of $400,000 on Friday. They hope to break ground later this summer with a dedication on Memorial Day of next year.
